Mr. Rigoni is ACWA Power’s Executive Director Business Development – Power Export.
Mr. Rigoni has over twenty years of experience in the energy sector gained through senior commercial and business development roles in international energy companies which exposed him to multiple industries (i.e. renewables, energy infrastructures, utilities and oil&gas) and geographies (Europe, Middle East and Africa).
In his current role Mr. Rigoni is responsible for developing ACWA Power’s portfolio of assets by originating, developing and marketing large-scale renewables generation projects and associated energy infrastructures focusing on the international export market.
Before joining ACWA Power Mr. Rigone acted, amongst others, as Managing Director for Zhero Europe B.V., an innovative start-up company focused on energy transition, Head of International Business Development for SNAM S.p.A. the Italian gas transmission system operator, Commercial Development Director for Sunny Hill Energy Ltd and independent oil&gas company focused on developing upstream assets in North Africa, Director of Upstream Business Development – North Africa for ENEL S.p.A. the leading utility and renewable energy company, and as Business Development Manager for Shell Energy Europe.
Mr. Rigoni holds a MSc in Political Science from the University of Padova (Italy), a Master Degree in Marketing from SDA Bocconi Business School (Italy), a Master in Business Administration with distinction from Imperial College Business School (United Kingdom) as well as executive trainings diplomas at Harvard Business School (USA) and IESE Business School (Spain). Mr. Rigoni served as chairman and board member of various energy companies.
