Swiss Pavilion at WETEX features 10 leading companies driving sustainability and the circular economy

Under the directives of HH Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, and the patronage of HH Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, Chairman of the Dubai Supreme Council of Energy, Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA) is organising the 27th edition of the Water, Energy, Technology and Environment Exhibition (WETEX) from 30 September to 2 October 2025 at the Dubai World Trade Centre. WETEX will host the international pavilion of Switzerland, featuring 10 leading Swiss companies with extensive experience in environmental solutions, pollution reduction, carbon emissions mitigation and circular economy technologies.
“The exhibition contributes to strengthening bilateral co-operation between the UAE and Switzerland to ensure greater prosperity for the two countries, and to enhance global efforts to achieve sustainable growth and net zero, as well as mitigate the repercussions of climate change. The leading global Swiss companies participating reinforce WETEX’s position as a premier international platform for advancing innovations that generate lasting, positive impacts worldwide. They also enhance its role in providing ways and opportunities to invest and implement the latest innovations, accelerating the adoption of best practices to enhance quality of life. This supports sustainable development goals and contributes to international commitments on climate action and reducing natural resource consumption,” said HE Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer, MD & CEO of DEWA and Founder and Chairman of WETEX.
HE Angelica Schempp, Consul General of Switzerland in Dubai, said: “Swiss companies present at WETEX 2025 reflect our country’s pioneering spirit and deep expertise in water management, energy efficiency, waste treatment and the circular economy. Their solutions have a successful track record in the Middle East and are built to last, making them a natural fit for the UAE’s long-term vision of sustainable development. WETEX provides an ideal platform for them to showcase their products and engage with Dubai’s leadership in digital transformation and artificial intelligence. Together, our two countries can deliver impactful solutions that shape a more sustainable future.”
Non-oil trade between the UAE and Switzerland increased by more than 120% in the first half of 2025.
