Hall 8, DWTC

Power systems are becoming more distributed, data-intensive and dynamic as utilities integrate renewable generation, storage, electrification, and increasingly complex network assets. This session will explore how utilities can move from fragmented, reactive, rule-based monitoring toward intelligent, resilient operations by combining operational technology, IoT telemetry, digital twins, and Enterprise AI infrastructure. It will show how secure compute at substations and other grid-edge locations can support near-real-time anomaly detection, asset-health monitoring, and operator decision support; while centralized platforms provide the governance, orchestration and analytical scale required across the enterprise. The presentation will outline a pragmatic path from pilot to production that protects operational continuity, strengthens cyber resilience and improves energy efficiency.

Mohamed Lamine Selmane

Lamine is the regional Energy expert leading the Global Energy practice at Dell Technologies for the Middle East and Africa region.
He joined EMC in 2014, prior to the merge with Dell in 2016. He is responsible for the development and deployment of digital solutions and services that drive business outcomes for the entire energy value chain, across oil and gas segments, as well as electricity production, transmission and distribution.

Throughout his 20+ years career in the industry, he has been designing and delivering transformative engagements in the fields of E&P Data Management, Intelligent Oil Fields, Grid Automation, AI and Agentic applications in Energy.
He has worked on projects major National Oil Companies and Integrated Power Utilities.
As part of this job, Lamine has been developing an industry ecosystem of partnerships with engineering software vendors, OT suppliers, consultancy firms and System Integrators to design and develop innovative joint digital solutions. He also contributes to Dell’s efforts to actively participate in industry consortia such as Open Group, vPAC Alliance, Linux Foundation.
Lamine is directly involved in Dell’s efforts to help the industry execute its Energy Transition with impactful deployment of digitalization across the entire value chain, and along a pathway to a low carbon future. He also has interest in Green Sovereign Data Centers.
Prior to Dell, Lamine accumulated 8 years of experience with Schlumberger (now SLB), working there from 2006 to 2014 to deliver oil and gas upstream information and knowledge management solutions for national and independent oil companies in North Africa Region.
Lamine holds a degree in Computer Science Engineering which he obtained in 2005 from the National Institute of Computer Science in his home country of Algeria.
