Maya Hojeij is a Senior Business Anchor at CNN Business Arabia. With more than 25 years of experience in business journalism and strategic communications, Maya has built a distinguished career interviewing world leaders, central bank governors, CEOs, ministers, investors, and policymakers. She is known for translating complex economic and financial developments into clear, insightful conversations that connect policy with business and business with society. Prior to joining CNN Business Arabia in July 2026, Maya spent six years at Asharq Bloomberg, where she was among the founding members of the business newsroom. Before that, Maya was Editor-in-Chief and Senior Presenter at Dubai TV and Business News Presenter at Al Arabiya News.
Beyond broadcasting, Maya is an experienced international moderator and mc, having hosted high-level government, economic, investment, and technology forums across the Middle East. Maya is also an Adjunct Instructor of Journalism at the American University in Dubai, where she helps prepare the next generation of journalists to navigate an increasingly digital and AI-driven media landscape, and she is a Doctorate of Business Administration (DBA) candidate. Mr. Hisham Iran – Director Of Operations – Dubai Taxi Company : A seasoned mobility and technology executive with over 20 years of experience in transportation operations, digital transformation, and sustainable mobility. As Director of Operations at Dubai Taxi Company (DTC), he leads large-scale, technology-driven mobility operations, overseeing a diverse portfolio of taxis, limousines, school transportation, and delivery services.
At the forefront of DTC’s green mobility transformation, Hisham plays a strategic role in accelerating the adoption of electric and hybrid vehicles, developing smart charging ecosystems, and integrating energy efficiency into fleet operations. His leadership focuses on bridging the gap between ambitious sustainability targets and the operational, infrastructure, and economic realities of transitioning large transportation fleets toward cleaner energy.
He has also been instrumental in advancing DTC’s AI-powered Operations Control Center, leveraging real-time data, predictive analytics, and intelligent fleet management to optimize vehicle utilization, operational efficiency, and service reliability across more than 11,000 mobility assets.
With a unique combination of operational leadership and technological expertise, Hisham brings valuable insights into the evolving relationship between transportation and energy. Faisal Ali Al Rashid is the Senior Director of the Demand Side Management (DSM) Directorate at the Dubai Supreme Council of Energy, where he is responsible for overseeing energy demand management initiatives in Dubai. He has played a pivotal role in the successful development and implementation of the Dubai DSM program since its inception. In addition to his leadership in energy management, Faisal chairs the Advancing Net Zero Volunteering Team, which is dedicated to accelerating decarbonization efforts in UAE cities. Having 16 years of experience in the oil and gas industry, Faisal has led several major EPC projects, demonstrating a strong track record of delivering Mega initiatives. He holds a BS in Mechanical Engineering from Ohio University, alongside Project Management Professional (PMP) credentials and accredited policy-making certification.
