Abhishek Kar

Abhishek Kar is an esteemed expert in Energy and Sustainability, renowned for his strategic fusion of technology with practical application. His extensive experience, spanning over a decade, includes leadership in the evolution of power systems and the adoption of emergent technologies such as Smart Grids, Microgrids, Renewable Energy integration, Green Hydrogen, and e-Mobility.

In his role as Head of Sustainability at Siemens Electrification & Automation, Mr. Kar has spearheaded initiatives across the Middle East, focusing on Decarbonization and Clean Energy. An ardent advocate for climate action and clean technology education, he aligns his professional endeavors with his deep-seated commitment to environmental stewardship.

Mr. Kar's academic background encompasses an MBA in Finance and Operations, a Bachelor of Technology in Electrical Engineering and Certifications in Sustainability."

Yusuf Petiwala

Yusuf was appointed in January 2023 and has since been at the forefront of the Siemens Grid Software business in the Middle East and Africa. A strategic and results-driven leader, Yusuf heads a high-performing team that is shaping the future of energy by collaborating with key stakeholders to accelerate the adoption of Siemens Grid Software Solutions.
Prior to this role, Yusuf served as Director for the Middle East and Africa at OSI Inc., where he successfully built the MEA business from the ground up and led Digital Grid Management initiatives across the power utility and industrial sectors.
He holds a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from the United States & brings a passion for driving digital transformation in the energy sector.
