Mr. Mohammed Alsharid - Dubai Electricity & Water Authority.

Mr. Mohamed Obaid Alsharid is appointed the Chief Digital Officer under the Innovation & The Future Division, at Dubai Electricity & Water Authority.

Prior to his current role Alsharid was leading several strategic initiatives including the ‘Digital Transformation Strategy’ project, and a very successful establishment of a new function the ‘Intelligent Automation’ implementing various automation projects in DEWA.

Before joining DEWA, Alsharid worked at Digital Dubai Authority and led the implementation of Dubai’s Blockchain Strategy, as well as the Digital City Services engagement with the government and private entity providing further seamless services through the city application - DubaiNow.

He has also worked at EITC (du) in various engineering and project management fields, expanding du’s infrastructure footprint and delivering fixed telco services to government and key accounts across the UAE. Alsharid was assigned as a Senior Manager, Digital Business Development for the government sector accounts.

Mr. Alsharid holds a BSc in Civil Engineering from Higher Colleges of Technology.


Mr. Walid Yehia - DELL

Walid Yehia is the Senior Director of Client Solutions for Dell Technologies in the Middle East, Russia, Africa, and Turkey (MERAT). Based in Dubai, Walid is responsible for designing and delivering large, and often complex, technology solutions that achieve business outcomes for customers.

His experience extends across IT solution architecture, consulting, IT transformation, system integration and service delivery. Sitting within the Infrastructure Solutions Group, Walid’s remit is cross-sector, although he has a strong background in financial services having begun his career as a systems engineer for Al-Rajhi Bank in Riyadh.

Having led the Dell Technologies Consulting Group from 2012-2016, Walid is a recognised leader and trusted advisor, including consulting with C-Level customers on the best strategies to maximise their technology investments from across the Dell Technologies portfolio. Walid is multilingual, speaking English, Arabic and French. He earned a B.S. in electrical engineering, communications and electronics from the University of Cairo, Egypt.

Mr. Safder Nazir - HUAWEI

Safder heads Huawei’s Digital Industry Center of Excellence, prior to which he has held various leadership roles in global blue chip companies. With over 25 years of experience across the world in industries from manufacturing to smart cities and telecom B2B services, Safder has enabled global companies to deliver exceptional results in new lines of business. Key to this success has been the innovative use of technology to drive transformational business outcomes.

Having held senior leadership positions as the customer, the consultant and the vendor, this 360 degree view combined with over 15 years in the Middle East region gives Safder a rounded perspective of the market, challenges and opportunities. He has worked directly with government and city leaders to help formalize their strategies to enable next generation services to be delivered.

Mr. Abdelilah Nejjari - CISCO

Abdelilah Nejjari is the Managing Director for Cisco in the Gulf region – leading the company’s operations and growth strategy across the UAE, Qatar, Kuwait, Oman, Bahrain, Yemen, Pakistan, and Afghanistan. He has more than two decades of diverse experience in the IT sector, including more than fifteen years with Cisco.

Abdelilah first joined Cisco as Commercial/Enterprise Segment Lead for Morocco, where he achieved outstanding results in his first year. He was later elevated to the role of Regional Sales Manager for the Commercial Segment in North, West and Central Africa, where he established and accelerated regional sales and go-to-market strategies.

Most recently, Abdelilah served as Cisco’s Partner Lead and Chief Operating Officer for Middle East and Africa. In this position, he managed the planning and executing of operational policies and go-to-market strategies, while nurturing Cisco’s relationship with its growing partner ecosystem in the region.

Prior to joining Cisco, Abdelilah spent more than fifteen years in IT senior management roles, working for respected IT system integrators in Morocco. With entrepreneurial aspirations since the beginning of his career, in 2003, he created and launched his own IT services company, focusing on infrastructure services, technical support and training. The organization developed to become a true leader in its field locally, and was subsequently acquired by a major IT company in the region.

Abdelilah graduated from L'École Mohammadia d'ingénieurs with an Engineer in Computer Science degree. Currently, he is based in Dubai, married and blessed with four children.
