The 13th Water and Energy Technology & Environment Exhibition 2011 – WETEX 2011 was held at the Za’abeel Hall,Hall No 1 and Hall No 2 spanning the area of 230,000 sqft in Dubai International Exhibition and Trade Center, from March 8-10, 2011. Organized by the Dubai Electricity & Water Authority, Government of Dubai. The Organizer of the show is one of largest Government buyers of Energy, Electrical and Water products and services in Dubai. The event attracted participation from 28 countries world-wide with 420 exhibitors exhibiting their 715 companies and a large number of international and GCC visitors who were keen to explore new technologies and solutions.

The WETEX Seminar, , was an overwhelming success with important topics being discussed during the three-day seminar, leading to better awareness and understanding for the utilities business, energy, water, and environment sustainability.
WETEX, the first of its kind show in the region, tackled critical issues in energy conservation, water and electricity, including environmental protection and preservation , Green building , Carbon reduction as well as the green building stand which aimed at enhancing awareness in protecting the natural resources of Dubai attracted a multitude of visitors.
